16 Onces Bacon
2 Onces Fresh Garlic
1 Bunch Scallion
2 Tablepsoons Olive Oil
4 Beef Bouillon Cubes
4 Quart Water
8 Once Heavy Cream
16 Onces Barilla Mini Farfalle Pasta

Lentil and Mini Farfalle Soup Directions

  1. Preparation Instructions
  2. Slice the bacon into 1/4" wide pieces.
  3. Finely chop garlic
  4. Chop Scallions into 1/4" wide pieces.
  5. Wash lentil beans with cold water in a mesh strainer or colander (Make sure there are any pebbles or other objects in the lentil beans that do not belong.)

  7. Cooking Instructions
  8. In an 8-quart stock pot, Cook bacon, garlic, and scallions for 5-8 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil to prevent ingredients from sticking to bottom of the pot.
  9. Add 4-quarts of water and also put in your beef bouillon cubes. Bring to a rolling boil. (NOTE: Rub the bottom of the pot with a spoon to remove any ingredients that got stuck in step one.)
  10. Add in lentil beans, bring to a rolling boil and then turn heat down to simmer and then add in heavy cream. Mix well after adding cream. Allow to cook for 30-40 minutes.
  11. Stir soup every few minutes to prevent from sticking to bottom of pot.
  12. After 30-40 minutes check lentils. If lentils are soft, add in Mini Farfalle and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
